Derma9 is a natural skincare brand that offers beauty products made from only high-quality, sustainable, natural ingredients: most notably their unique, sustainably grown microalgae. Derma9 was created to make this once-scarce microalgae more readily available to consumers to improve their health and skin appearance.

Derma9 had already developed their first set of beauty products (The Zone Mask System) and was looking to expand their product line with the release of their next product lineup: Cleanser, Moisturizer, and Serum. ABD was brought in to craft the new look of these products while staying true to the brand’s heritage and original look.

The goal was to create beautiful and effective packaging for the new lineup of products that was economical but luxurious, sterile yet inviting. ABD experimented with minimal color use, lots of negative space, and foil elements to achieve the minimal yet sophisticated final designs.

The next task was to design and produce brand-consistent deliverables for Derma9 as a whole including, coupons, social banners, email templates, Instagram and Facebook content, and Facebook ads.

Lastly, we designed supplemental elements for the brand including brushes, pins, and influencer beauty packages.
