Nichole Lynel is a global powerhouse entrepreneur, fashion designer and speaker based in Los Angeles, California. She had already launched a clothing boutique, but was looking to break into the luxury fashion marketplace by transitioning into an international lifestyle brand. ABD was able to answer the call and even spawn an additional division of the brand, NL The Label (custom pieces designed exclusively by Nichole herself).

We started at the foundation of the brand’s ethos and then explored all possible touch points, paying special attention to its consumers and their needs.

Nichole’s existing logo lacked a sense of individuality and didn’t align the brand’s image.
We chose to craft a simplistic powerful monogram and pair it with a typeface that reinforced an old-world luxury feel.

Creative Exploration

We began to the explore the idea of more consistent imagery for the brand. Figuring out what story we were telling aided us in developing a playful twilight-esque aesthetic. We wanted to take a more artful, dreamy, abstract approach to the brand’s imagery.

The goal:

Create a cohesive lifestyle brand that spoke to Nichole’s core audience.
We needed to see women feel as powerful and refined as the clothes themselves. We experimented with type placements, editorial layouts and a timeless black and white color palette, allowing for a hint of fun with accents of pink.
